small or huge actions designed to find out the answers
to questions like:
What do the public
need and want that I can provide? How much
will they pay for it? What gender, age group,
ethnicity or area will be the best customers for
me? What marketing channel will reach my
target public? What type of packaging,
presentation and pitch will be
successful? When and how to launch the
product? What type of distribution channels do
I need?
You can survey people on the
streets, in focus groups, test and measure campaigns
pilots or even your past sales records.
The most successful survey
work is done with a totally open mind, if you already
knew all the answers then you would be bigger than Bill
Gates and Warren Buffet together.
