Secrets of Acquisition Part 1

The no 1 “Secret” of acquiring new clients is The Survey.
These can be small or huge actions designed to find out the answers to questions like:

• What do the public need and want that I can provide?
• How much will they pay for it?
• What gender, age group, ethnicity or area will be the best customers for me?
• What marketing channel will reach my target public?
• What type of packaging, presentation and pitch will be successful?
• When and how to launch the product?
• What type of distribution channels do I need?

You can survey people on the streets, in focus groups, test and measure campaigns pilots or even your past sales records.

The most successful survey work is done with a totally open mind, if you already knew all the answers then you would be bigger than Bill Gates and Warren Buffet together.
